What we look for:

Natural ingredients... You read labels for your food, so why not do the same for your dogs? Look at the label at the first ingredients listed - our preference is for the top ingredients to be natural food not chemicals. There are a number of great dry food kibble products, we encourage you to do your research and check with your local pet shops to see what is available. Keep an eye out for the various harmful artificial preservatives are typically added to give a longer shelf life; typically not found in foods with all natural dog food preservatives.

You'll also want to think about how you store your dog food and we suggest you do some research to ensure your storage solution isnt at risk of letting harmful chemicals seep into the dog food. (This is a risk from some plastic pet food containers.)
