Collars and Leashes Reviews

The collar contains the dog's ID and should be worn at all times for that purpose.
Many dogs will also need a harness for leash walking for several reasons, read more about our favorite harnesses here.
We believe that collars and harnesses should first and foremost be comfortable for the dog.
Collars come in a lot of different widths and lengths - finding the right fit for your dog in the design/color you are looking for can be more complicated than you think it should be. There are several factors to consider:
Size: Its best not to be at the smallest end of the sizing. For example if your dog needs a 13" collar and the collar is sized for 12 – 18", then the fabric will be doubled over to fit the smaller size, creating a bulky collar for your dog. Different companies use different sizing so check around.
Widths: Collars come in 3/8 inch, 5/8 inch, 3/4 inch, 1 inch and 1.5 inch wide. ½" and 5/8" collars can use smaller clips. Once you go up to ¾", a larger clip is needed. The clip buckle usually drops to below the neck because of the weight and a larger bulky clip can be uncomfortable for a small dog.
Comfort: Look for collars that are soft, comfortable fabric on the inside
